A few hours after coming out of the theater and I’m not sure what to make of this. It was… okay, I guess? It felt like Fedy Alvarez examined the production of each of the previous films, and every left-over idea from them was thrown finally to the screen, along with rehashing the core components of the franchise. You have pieces from Alien, Aliens, Resurrection, and Prometheus/Covenant. For a fan of the series, there are subtle and not-so-subtle easter eggs every few minutes, from sound effects to reused dialogue. The plot is really simple, as it should be. Ever since I heard there was a Henry Danger movie coming out, all the way back in 2018. I was so exited, even though I had to wait 7 years lol. The CGI was incredible and I liked how they had some aspects from the show and put it into a superhero movie. The movie added some new characters like Missy and Coach Greg which was nice. Charlotte bring in the movie would have made it a little more like the show but I’m not complaining. The movie gave Henry more of an adult view which showed him being more of the superhero. Only thing I didn’t like was some of the jokes, didnt hit the same as the show but idrc. 10/10 must watch.

Captain America: Brave New World is the latest entry in the Phase Five of the MCU. Considering the amount of reshoots, I didn’t had high hopes for it and thought it wouldn’t live up to the Captain America Trilogy and unfortunately I was right. Starting with the positives. The cast delivers some charismatic performances particularly Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America. He pours his heart and soul into bringing the best out of his character. Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres also delivered a hilarious and delightful performance and his chemistry with Mackie is solid. Releasing merely weeks after the critically and commercially acclaimed “Godzilla Minus One” won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects is a boon as well as bane for “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” – while more people are familiar with the behemoth radioactive lizard, there is an undeniable urge to draw comparisons between the two movies. Adam Wingard’s second Monsterverse film following 2021’s “Godzilla vs Kong” delivers satisfying Titan action, but overall, the film feels like a step back, largely owing to dull and tedious human drama.
